An existing house of 80sqm in Foz do Douro, Oporto. The client wanted to reconfigure the existing to define 2 clear private zones between the client (couple) and their daughter’s family (couple with child) and yet to promote social areas where both families could meet and enjoy. The common areas were planned to be a sequence of open and continuous spaces from the kitchen to dining and living areas. The private zones were designed as cloisters in a way to find their required privacy.
