“Casa Fivi”

A renovation project of an old house in the city centre of Vila nova de Cerveira, Portugal. The client’s requirement was to have the minimum areas for living, sleeping, cooking and a toilet. The concept evolved around flexibility and versatility within a 35sqm net area. It translated into different and exchangeable gestures: a sliding bed that hides underneath the floor, a folding table that hides in the kitchen cupboards  and a long row of panels that conceal the kitchen and storage. This project was a finalist in the “Arquitectura Acessível” competition organized by the Ordem dos Arquitectos.
